After the merger vote was passed, the officers of UNYX and Nexterra worked together to appoint a new slate of officers for the North East Xterra Club. These officers will serve until the first club election is held.

| UNYX Merges With Nexterra |
On April 18, 2008, the membership of the Upstate NY Xterra Club voted and approved the merger of the club with the New England Xterra Club to form the North East Xterra Club (Nexterra).
NEXterra and UNYX have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship as sister clubs for several years now. As a combined club, they now have the ability to provide each member far more in benefits than they could individually contribute in time, money and / or resources. The new NEXTerra has the potential to become the largest Xterra club in the nation.
The North East Xterra Club will bear the name NEXterra, but will have updated branding and a new, unified website and forum (http://www.nexterra.org). As we continue to grow, we expect that we'll be able to provide our supporting members and sponsors with the perks and benefits that have, until now, been a challenge offer.
